MUNICIPAL CREMATORIUM ESSEN

The Buchenwald sub camp of Bochum (Bochumer Verein) it is estimated from post war research had 108 dead prisoners. Originally the bodies were burned in the municipal crematorium of Essen. After the destruction of this crematorium bodies were buried in Bochum: non Jews in the town cemetary at Freigrafendamm, the Jews in the Jewish cemetary in Wasserstrasse.
