MUNICIPAL CREMATORIUM STEYR

According to the crematorium record of the Steyr municipal crematorium 226 prisoners from the Mauthausen sub camp of Steyr-Munichholz were cremated in this town crematorium.

In addition many ill prisoners were sent to back to the parent camp of Mauthausen to die and be cremated.

In addition according to these records between 1938 and 1945 over 4000 prisoners from Mauthausen, Gusen and Mauthausen sub camps of Ternburg and Grossraming 4000 prisoners were cremated in the Steyr municipal crematorium.
