MUNICIPAL CREMATORIUM KONSTANZ

In 1944 during its six month existance 71 dead prisoners from the Dachau sub camp of Uberlingen (Aufkirch) were burned in the municipal crematorium of Konstanz. In addition 97 dead prisoners were interned in a mass grave in the forest area of Degenhardt. In early 1946 these were exhumed and buried in a KZ cemetary in Birnau by camp survivors.
