MUNICIPAL CREMATORIUM FREIBURG

Sub camp Freiburg (a sub camp of Flossenburg) was the largest of Flossenburgs textile sub camps. The sub camp operated from 31 August 1944 until 14 April 1945. It is unknown how many prisoners dies, but in 1946 the urns of the Freiburg dead prisoners were buried under a memorial stone in the Donatsfriedhof. Jewish urns were buried in the Jewish cemetary in Hannover.

Given the prisoners were reduced to ashes in urns it is assumed they were cremated in the municipal crematorium in Freiburg. (to be confimed)
