This is one of most important books ever written by members of Kaiser Wilhelm Institute of Anthropology, Human Heredity, and Eugenics - Erwin Baur, Eugen Fischer, Fritz Lenz.
Eugen Fischer (1874 - 1967) was a German professor of medicine, anthropology and eugenics. He was director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute of Anthropology, Human Heredity, and Eugenics between 1927 and 1942. He was appointed rector of the Frederick William University of Berlin by Adolf Hitler in 1933, and later joined the Nazi Party. He strongly supported compulsory sterilization and Aktion T4 in Third Reich.

This book was part of KL Dachau library. On the title page is stamp: 1. SS-Totenkopfsturmbann "Oberbayern" Dachau.

The SS-Sturmbann Oberbayern (SS-Wachsturmbann I Oberbayern) was formed in March 1935 from the guard detachment at Dachau. It was upgraded to regimental size on 1 July 1937 and redesignated SS-Totenkopf-Standarte 1 Oberbayern.
A cuff title with the text "Oberbayern" was authorized for this unit.
